As of the last count, climate change has dealt serious and deadly blows of monumental effects on mankind as statistics and available information reveals below. Right now, Some 5.5 million people die every year from air pollution. 92% of the world’s populations are living in places where levels of air pollution exceed recommendation limits recommended by WHO. Some 3 million deaths a year are linked to exposure to outdoor air pollution Indoor air pollution can be just as deadly. In 2012, an estimated 6.5 million death (11.6% of all global deaths) were associated with indoor air pollution together. Nearly 90% of the deaths occurring in low and middle–income countries, with nearly two out of three occurring in the South East Asia and Western Pacific regions. 94% of the deaths are due to non-communicable diseases – notably cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and chronic obstructive cancer. Air pollution also increases the risks for acute respiratory infections. The world’s population reached 7.35 billion by (2015), according to the UN figures. These facts and figures before us demand serious concern and the obvious reasons why we must join hands and forces to curtailing climate change now or never.
