United Nations Global Compact
UNITED NATIONS, New York, 17 February 2020 — As part of its Making Global Goals Local Business campaign, each year the UN Global Compact recognizes a class of SDG Pioneers — business leaders, who are using business as a force for good to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDG Pioneers play an important role in drawing attention to the SDGs and how responsible businesses can contribute to their achievement. As part of the Global Compact Local Networks spanning all continents will launch a national search for professionals who are committed to achieving the Global Goals on 17 February 2020
will culminate in to the selection of global SDG Pioneers who will be recognized during the UN General Assembly high-level week in New York in September 2020. The worldwide search for SDG Pioneers among companies participating in the UN Global Compact will build on national searches by 23 Global Compact Local Networks earlier this year, and each winner of a national round will automatically compete in the global round along with other candidates.
